I want my heart to stop hurting and I want to be able to trust and feel again - but how do you get there??? |
same old song - just a different day..........Im tired
| So it seems that my heart wants to just beat really hard and really fast too often! And to add to it, I seem to have a hard time catching my breath when my heart beats too fast! And working at a doctors office--you can't just ignore it. After lunch Friday I had to sit down to catch my breath and I got caught by one of the docs! Of course she asked what was wrong with me and my "OH NOTHING" answer didn't fly! She listened to my heart and told me to take it easy and that was the end of it....UNTIL it happened again Monday! And the very same doc happened to walk by and see me AGAIN! She told me that I needed to see a cardiologist - and then about that time the office manager walks by and hears what was said. I told them that I had a cardiologist and I saw him in October last year. Doc told me that I needed to go see him and just get checked out. But it's kinda hard to go to the doctor - a specialist no less - without insurance! (I am still in the probationary stage at work and will be without insurance for another 2 months) That argument didn't help me at all. because before I knew it the office manager was on the phone making me an appointment! Lucky for me, my cardiologist is a part of the medical group that I work for!! I went to the appointment yesterday, walked into the office and sat for 30 minutes - when my name was called, I got up, walked into the room - she took my pulse--104! Now I know I am overweight and out of shape - but that is unacceptable! So the doc checked me out, did an EKG - which was normal, ordered lab tests, set up an appointment for an echocardiogram to be done on Monday and an appointment to have a holter monitor put on. Now I have NO, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH, NO insurance! So I thought that I might should mention this to the doctor! He knows that I work for the same people that he does and says to me "AH, don't worry about it - we'll take care of it" COOL!
I went today to have the holter monitor put on - OK it sucks! First of all I had to sit half naked and have this girl scrub little places on my chest with what felt like sand paper to "roughen my skin" and then she rubbed alcohol preps over the freshly raw skin - lemme just say that it BURNS!!! She stuck the electrodes to my raw skin and hooked all the wires to them and then plugged them into the little box that I have to wear on my waist for 24 hours! Ok now if all of the above was not bad enough she then tells me that I can not shower, use the microwave, use my cell phone or use my hairdryer while Im wearing this thing! You can not imagine how much fun all this is! But this thing is continously recording what my heart is doing and he can maybe figure out what is going on with me!
I will update when I find out what is going on!!!!!
| Question: exactly how many "I'm sorry"& "I promise" can one person listen to before it means NOTHING?
The count just keeps going up.................................
| The pictures in the previous post were taken 2 weekends ago at Greenbriar park in Cosby, TN. My best friend, Tammy, her husband and 4 kiddos went with us to picnic and play in the water. We had such a good time! The water was freezing but the kids loved it - we had to MAKE Zach get out! Aren't our kids cute?! | | |
